Charlie Zicari is a Writer & Director based out of New York City-- originally hailing from Elizabethtown, Kentucky.
He has worked on projects such as Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty's "Ragtime," directed by Stafford Arima at Lincoln Center, as well as Joe Kinosian & Kellen Blair's "The More Things Change," directed by Scott Schwartz.
In 2015, Charlie was an apprentice to the producers at "Live! With Kelly and Michael."
As a Director, his productions of "Grease" and "Legally Blonde: The Musical" sold out to New York audiences.
As a Writer, Charlie's coming-of-age screenplay, "Hedges," received reviews such as "This is timeless storytelling." "Genuinely funny, uplifting, and inspiring. I will make it a point to be there on opening day."- Screencraft and "An endearing and warm father/son story." "Never has high-school been so funny and emotional." "This story will grab ahold of you." -The Black List. This project was also recently announced as a Quarterfinalist in the 2016 "Screencraft" Comedy Screenplay Contest.
Charlie is currently working as the Assistant to Tony-Award nominee, Jeff Calhoun, on such projects as "Disney's Newsies," "Maurice Hines' Tappin' Thru Life," Frank Wildhorn's "Mata Hari at the Moulin Rouge," Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer's "Between the Lines," and Stephen King and John Mellencamp's "Ghost Brothers of Darkland County."
