After failing as a Broadway producer, Max Bialystock is forced into a life of fulfilling the sexual fantasies of elderly women make ends meet. His luck takes a turn for the better after meeting Leo Bloom, a neurotic accountant who unknowingly inspires Max with a crazy idea of how to turn failure into fortune – secure a huge financial investment for a play, and pocket the investors’ money after producing a sure-fire flop. Their secret weapon: Springtime for Hitler – the worst play they could ever hope to find. Convinced the play will close within one night, the duo sets out to get rich quick.
