Christina Hodson

writer Shut In (2016), Untitled Transformers Stand-Alone (2018), Unforgettable (2017)

Christina Hodson transitioned from development executive to screenwriter in 2012 and has started to make a name for herself writing muscular, female-driven stories in traditionally male dominated genres.

Her first screenplay, psychological thriller SHUT IN, was on the 2012 Black List and was recently produced by Lava Bear and EuropaCorp, directed by BAFTA award winner Farren Blackburn, starring Naomi Watts and Jacob Tremblay. It comes out November 2016. Her second script was the erotic thriller UNFORGETTABLE for Warner Bros, directed by Denise Di Novi, starring Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl, which comes out April 2017.

Since then she has had two more spec scripts on The Black List: psychological thriller, SEED (in 2013); and female-driven action sci-fi THE EDEN PROJECT (in 2014). The latter sold in a bidding war to Sony and is being produced by Tobey Maguire and Matthew Plouffe for Material Pictures.

In 2015 she was hired to write the reboot of THE FUGITIVE for Warner Bros. She also participated in the TRANSFORMERS writers room for Paramount/Hasbro and was subsequently hired to write an Untitled Transformers stand-alone movie slated for June 2018.

She is currently working with Warner Bros and DC Entertainment on a feature in the DC Universe, as well as writing a female-centric action epic for Nina Jacobson at Fox 2000. Her first foray into TV is with OUT, an adaptation of a Japanese crime novel, which is currently in development at AMC.

Christina is half-Asian, born and raised in London, and now lives in Los Angeles.
