PAULA PELL (screenwriter/actor) Pell was a writer for Saturday Night Live for twenty years. She started in 1995. She was also a producer and writer for the sitcom “30 Rock.” In the film world, Pell has collaborated with Judd Apatow and Paul Feig, providing additional writing for the films “Bridesmaids”, “This is 40”, and “The Heat”. She is currently working on two new screenplays and developing a new series. As an actress, Pell appeared in several episodes of “30 Rock” as the wife of Pete Hornberger, and played the mother of Ron Swanson in “Parks and Recreation.” She has also appeared in dozens of SNL sketches. Pell voices Gadget Gal in the Hulu original series “The Awesomes,” and voices a character (“Dream Director”) in the Pixar film “Inside Out.”She is currently voicing Barbara in Nick Kroll’s new show “Big Mouth” on Netflix. She has had cameos in the 2013 film “Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues,” and the 2015 Oscar-winning “Birdman.” Pell co-created web series “Hudson Valley Ballers” with Michelle Lawler and James Anderson, with whom she also co-stars. “Sisters”is Paula Pell’s first produced screenplay and opened December 18, 2016 starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. It is based on the lives of Paula and her sister except for the filthy parts. It opened the same day as “Star Wars”and made double the box office. That’s a lie. Paula lives with two rescue dogs and two cats so she can stay current with her lesbian membership.
