Perrin Chiles is an Emmy® award-winner producer and writer with a background in private equity, finance and entrepreneurship who currently serves as the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer & Founding Partner of Adaptive Studios Inc. Adaptive Studios is a pioneering media studio focused on the acquisition and development of intellectual property across all platforms. Sourcing material through their partners, Adaptive creates and produces film, television, digital entertainment, books and graphic novels – focusing on whichever platform best fits the story. Adaptive produced the highly acclaimed, Emmy® nominated Project Greenlight for HBO and alongside the show’s executive producers Matt Damon and Ben Affleck launched Project Greenlight Digital Studios last year. Through Project Greenlight Digital Studios, Adaptive is actively “greenlighting” an expanding slate of new digital series with emerging filmmakers.  The same team also successfully premiered The Runner this summer, a first of its kind reality chase series on Verizon’s go90.

Earlier this year, Adaptive wrapped production on COIN HEIST which marked the first successful conversion from script to novel to feature film for the studio. They also recently revealed plans to bring another of their novels, DC TRIP, to the big screen alongside Van Toffler’s new studio, Gunpowder & Sky, with Bona Fide Productions, as well as their latest novel AIR through a partnership with John Legend’s production company, Get Lifted.

Adaptive Books, the publishing imprint of Adaptive Studios, has released 13 titles to date and will publish an average of 10 books and graphic novels annually. Adaptive Books has an exclusive distribution deal with Barnes & Noble, as well as a publishing partnership with StyleHaul’s content creators.

Prior to founding Adaptive, Chiles founded In Effect Films to produce socially-conscious documentary films such as the Academy Award® Short-Listed and Emmy® Award-winning AUTISM: THE MUSICAL and the award-winning surfing documentary film SPLINTERS. Before moving to Los Angeles, Perrin worked at Elevation Partners, a leading media and entertainment private equity fund, and Silver Lake Partners, a premier technology private equity fund. Perrin graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in Economics & History.
